SSC Tuatara
The SSC Tuatara was first showcased in 2011 at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, but it wasn't until 2018 that the production model was officially revealed. Built in Washington, USA, the car originally came with a 6.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, which was later reduced to 5.9 litres to allow for a higher redline. Even with this size reduction, it still delivers an impressive power output of 1,350 bhp on regular unleaded fuel and an incredible 1,750 bhp when using E85. SSC asserts that the Tuatara, named after a New Zealand reptile, known for its rapid molecular evolution, can achieve an astonishing top speed of 300 mph. Furthermore, it boasts the lowest drag coefficient in its class at 0.279. Inside, the car radiates luxury with leather and Alcantara upholstery, touchscreen controls, and a rear camera system that replaces traditional side mirrors.
