Rimac Concept One (2011)

Mate Rimac, the visionary Croatian behind Rimac Automobili, discovered the exciting possibilities of electric speed at just 21 years old when he converted his BMW 3 Series into an electric vehicle right in his garage. This significant experience ignited his dream to create the world's fastest electric Hypercar. Since that moment, Rimac Automobili has led the way in crafting high-performance sports cars, drivetrains, and battery systems for a variety of automotive brands. The company's revolutionary creation, the Concept One, was finally revealed at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. Weighing in at 1,850 kg and boasting an astonishing 1,287 bhp from its all-electric motor, the Concept One was ingeniously designed around its battery pack and motor, doing away with traditional gears and clutches. With all the heavy components strategically positioned beneath the car's floor for ideal weight distribution, it could be charged in just 30 minutes, providing a range of about 320 miles (510 km). Only eight units of the Concept One were ever made.

Fast forward to the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, where Rimac unveiled the Concept S, a lighter and more powerful version designed for the racetrack with a sleek, aerodynamic look. This model featured four electric motors generating 1,384 bhp, enabling it to go from 0 to 62 mph (0 to 100 km/h) in just 2.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 227 mph (365 km/h). Two years later, at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, Rimac revealed the Concept Two, which had a completely new design with eye-catching gull-wing doors and enhanced motors that increased the power output to 1,914 bhp. This incredible car could hit speeds of 258 mph (415 km/h) and accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 km/h) in only 1.85 seconds. The Concept Two also featured cutting-edge technology, such as facial recognition for ignition access and the ability to modify its settings based on the driver's mood, plus a special drift mode for an exciting driving experience
